Plastic and Polymer Industry
Plastic and Polymer Industry
The plastics and polymer industry constitutes a vital segment of the chemical sector, utilizing polymers as raw materials. By precisely controlling production processes, this industry achieves performance optimization and consistent quality of polymer materials. Filtration serves as a critical step in the production workflow, ensuring that the quality of final products remains uncompromised by the introduction of contaminants.
Client Challenges
During the production process of the plastic and polymer industry, there are a large number of impurities, which directly affect the use of equipment and ultimately lead to substandard product quality. In response to the impact of impurities in recycled materials on the quality of regenerated materials, filtration plays a crucial role. In short, the main contradiction in the plastic and polymer industry is that it needs to produce output, process complex recycled materials, and maintain continuous and high-speed production.
01Inconsistent or substandard product quality
02Harsh operating conditions leading to accelerated filter wear
03Difficulty in balancing high-precision filtration with production efficiency

Successful Case
Precision Filtration Project for Plastic Pellet Melt in Italy
In the plastic pellet extrusion production process, residual solid contaminants, carbonized particles, and unmelted materials within the melt frequently cause defects in the final product, leading to substandard quality. Additionally, these impurities cause clogging and rupture of extruder screens, necessitating frequent production stoppages for maintenance and thereby impairing overall efficiency. Our custom-engineered sintered stainless steel filters were implemented to address these issues. Post-implementation, solid impurities were substantially reduced, pass rates significantly improved, and the service life of extruder screens was extended. This has enabled the client to lower production losses and enhance production capacity and operational efficiency.
Polymer Raw Material Recycling and Purification Filtration Project in the Netherlands
During the recycling and reprocessing of waste polymers and the reuse of raw materials, the presence of dust, fine metal particles, and degraded agglomerates in the recycled feedstock adversely affects polymer melt viscosity and processing stability. These impurities also cause damage to core equipment such as feed pumps and reactors, failing to meet industry standards for clean production. Our company supplied custom-designed stainless steel pleated filter cartridges and basket-type metal filters. After deployment, these filtration systems achieved effetive removal of various impurities, improved the melt processing characteristics of the material, and enhanced overall production stability.
